Optional — everything works without one. Adding a fine-grained personal access token with Public repositories (read-only) access puts your own repos in the sky (golden constellation, recent stargazers) and unlocks 5-second live polling. It is stored only in this browser's localStorage and sent only to api.github.com.
Create one at github.com → Settings → Developer settings → Fine-grained tokens.
